In Crinkle's defense...
Well, actually in Wikipedia's defense, I would like to point out that it has been tested and found to be mostly accurate (90 something percent). Unfortunately, I have no links. However, I would trust a website that is editable by all over a website run by one person/company/entity. When it is editable by all, a browsing scientist is likely to notice, and able to correct, mistakes. Most of the time, when someone edits wikipedia with inaccurate information, they make it obvious, like claiming that Jessica Alba's boobs were worshiped by Ida Amin in 5th century Japan. A website run by one company, though, is going to only represent one person's view on whatever subject.

Really, you should never trust one source (as has been discussed in some other thread somewhere, I believe), especially on the internet. But as far as the internet goes, wikipedia is one of the best places.

Now, @Crinkle: If that is true, that is only because there hasn't been enough research into liquid hydrogen yet to make it efficient. It's not like it's just going to be perfect from the beginning, they have to work at it, figure things out, get to know how to most efficiently harness energy, etc. It takes investment money.

Yeah, I agree with you, as usual. Razz Like all technology, it requires development. But it certainly does hold promise. And I too like using the old Wiki, but it is good to have multiple sources.

You have to go to wikipedia and type in liquid hydrogen fuel cell.

No, you need to go to wikipedia and type in liquid hydrogen fuel cell and bring us back some facts. It isn't our job to research your point.

Exactly... however.. I'm not even talking about a fuel CELL. Those are what we use now and they are pretty dang inefficient, compared to just burning the stuff. If we use hydro power to create hydrogen, we basically can power the entire world with water. A beautiful mix of water powered and hydrogen burning worlds.

Oh well but we should really use all the renewable energy options instead of just hydrogen. I really think we should make use of all the renewable resources with hydrogen to become more self-dependent as a country.

@ Powned: Yeah, but I think solar and Nuke has a place in it all as well. Plus things like wave energy, but I suppose that would count as Hydro wouldn't it? scratch

Solar, maybe... It takes up a lot of room compared to the power it puts out.
I believe nuclear will always be in use, that is some SERIOUS power output there... And maybe ever organic power? As research continues....

Yessir it will. At first nuclear power was just a horror story but now most people rely on it for energy.

Yup, and you can even recycle the waste as well. Just the U.S. doesn't yet, for some reason. scratch

THERE is NO reason not to recycle it. I have absolutely no idea why not, unless they use the waste for something else.. *cough* you know what i mean *cough*
