I really don't care about guns heck I only have a bb gun. So the only reason I would want one is for when zombies attack.

So you want to restrict others' freedom because YOU don't care about guns?

I don't think that was what he meant.... But yeah guns are a tough issue. Where does the "freedom" end, and the insanity begin? How do you even define freedom? I'm for more gun control, but fair gun control.

Well we should be able to restrict automatic weapons. (not semi-auto) I don't see why I am trying all rednecks care about is their guns. So in other words I am saying we have no need for fully auto weapons to be given to civilians.

Is there a reason to not give fully auto weapons to citizens?
Sure, they're weapons. But so is a broken wine bottle, any blunt object, any heavy object when dropped from an upper story window, or an angry cat. Dangerous possessions like guns are why there are licenses you must get to own said dangerous possessions.

Exactly, control and regulation, not complete abolition.

Here is a point though against automatic weapons. Do you need an automatic weapon for defense? ALL guns shoot you don't need something that puts out faster bursts to protect yourself. Anything can really stop a person even a .22 so we don't need automatic weapons.

I hate to admit it, but eliminating automatic weapons would solve some problems. However I guess there's still the black market, so it's a tough call.

Why don't the government leave guns alone and actually do their job?

For the range and recreational shooting, and to feed their already hightened paranoia. But beyond that, they really serve little practical purpose in the civilian world.

Yeah but LEGO is a creative outlet. Automatic weapons are not. They really are worthless. Unless you are paranoid and think the government is "out to get you"...

But people like to collect them.

There really is no reason for the government to put their noses where they don't belong.

True, they are collectable. It kind of depends though, I think I'm undecided on this issue. Both sides have their positives and negatives.

I believe civilians should just use their semi-auto and other weapons.

Yeah, I mean you do have a point, full-auto weapons are pretty pointless for civilians in general.

Even my friend other PH (you know who this is.) says automatic weapons have no point except for target shooting. You can't legally hunt with these guns so they are pretty worthless to one. And he has more weapons and shoots more then any of you so even a big gun owner says we don't need automatic weapons. Heck, we do not need guns to survive so why do we need them at all?

Well I would argue that we do in fact need some guns, for defense and for hunting etc... One reason I thought of that automatic weapons would be needed is for Bounty Hunters and Privateers, they hunt criminals and could use the firepower, but are considered private citezens, so if automatic weapons were outlawed, it would negatively affect them. I can think of even more arguments supporting both sides of this issue.... Neutral

Well no we don't truly need guns to live. And the 2nd amendment says the right to bear arms. This could also mean anything considered a weapon so we could claim guns are under there as long as many other weapons.
