Baptism! :)

Post  Kombustion on 2/28/2010, 20:16

Hey ya'll, so recently, after going back to church for about a month, I've decided that I want to be baptized. Smile I had been baptized once before, but it was when I was really really young at my parents' wedding. I was only like 4 months or so. & I feel really great about doing this, my friend & I have come to the conclusion that its because its my own choice to do so. Smile So what do you guys think?

Well being a bunch of Christians ourselves, I think we all are going to say CONGRATULATIONS! Very Happy I think that's really awesome personally, we always need some more good people on the side of Christ in this world. So welcome to the family Kayla, I'm very happy for you, and congratulate you on this important and wonderful decision in your life. Smile

Congratulations, Kayla! Very Happy

I guess I'm a little late welcoming you to the Kingdom of God, but welcome! You will have done more than I have at this point, because I've never been officially baptized. I don't know if I ever will either.

Oh really? I would suggest going for it, I know that your faith is strong. But like marriage, God puts a lot of emphasis in baptism, so why risk it? Wink

Being baptized is always a wonderful thing: this sacrament saves more lives than we realize.

If this action makes you affirmed in your faith, absolutely do it!

I myself feel that one Baptism was enough for me, but the Church says even if we may have already been baptized, another Baptism will not be a bad thing; we still have that crucial irremovable character that keeps us one with the Mystical Body of Christ.

So congratulations; just don't make a big thing out of it, or people might begin to think you never were baptized in the first place. Razz

I'm gunna have to say congrats, and although I would like to note that getting baptized doesn't save you; but it is a big step in the Christian faith. So by saying that, she's already been in the family she just wasn't baptized
