Favorite Alien Species

Post  Jedi Joe on 5/23/2010, 12:46

What's your favorite alien lifeform from any science fiction story?

Mine would have to be the Wookiees from Star Wars. There is something about them that makes them lovable.

Wookiees are deffinetly a good one, I also like Yoda's species, and Aleenas (Rats Tyrell). Although the Darleks of Doctor Who are pretty sweet as well. Laughing

The Monolith from the Space Odyssey series are pretty awesome. Not a big fan of 2001, but 2010 was a great movie.

Jupiter is due to turn into a star this year... study

I have yet to see either of those movies, but I believe I have heard of the Monolith before.

They're some god-like species that fill planets with life. They turned Jupiter into a star in 2010, and Europa eventually became inhabited with life.

Wait, 2010... THAT'S WHY JUPITER LOST A BELT!!! Shocked

I always liked Rodians from Star Wars. They have those big black eyes...

Someone mentioned 2001: A Space Odyssey.

If Hal were an alien, I'd pick him. Razz

They are a pretty cool species, and their home planet would be cool to visit. Laughing

Psh, it's close enough. tongue Come to think of it, I'm also a big fan of Wampas, they're just so menacing and awesome! Seems fitting I'm assigned to Wampa Company, 501st Legion. Laughing

I remember reading the novel on Bounty Hunters, and reading the book about Greedo, and about the clan wars between his clan and Navik the Rufus or something, and how he went to Nar Shaddaa, and how he met up with some clueless bounty hunters, etc. etc. Razz

Yeah so do I you know? They may look cute and cuddly, but they're so NOT. I especially like the scene with the Ewok in the tree waving around that captured Imp blaster, that was awesome. Very Happy
